Zone
IT zone of IITESF is responsible for the promotion
of vendor neutral IT certifications with hands-on-labs.
IT education includes the basic computer concepts,
computer hardware, networking, graphics designing
and database management tools.
Traditional computer study (in Pakistan) is not yet
completing the requirements of modern IT world and
student does not have sufficient knowledge and skills
of practical work. World is shifting to larger IT-Infrastructures
then before and Network designers, engineers and resource
person’s requirements are also increasing. There
are still many jobs and opportunities are available
regarding computer networks.
This is what our concern is to provide the quality
of Computer Hardware and Networking training with
Free / Open Source Software (Linux).
What
is ICT? (Information & Communication
Technology)
Information Technology (IT) is also known as Information
and Communication Technology (ICT) some time called
the implementation of computerized technology for
managing and processing information in individuals,
small, medium and large business organizations and
all sectors of a country.
Inside
IT
IT deals with the use of two elements, one is computer
systems and other is software to bring that machine
into working. Both are used to store, process, protect,
transmit, retrieve, compile and automate the information.
An IT infrastructure of a company represents the
way of revolving the organization’s data and
its conversion from raw data into information. IT
infrastructure includes computer hardware, networking
and operating system model.
Goals
of Information Technology Support System:
IT systems comprise the strategic core needed to
effectively manage a critical incident. The goals
of an effective IT support system include:
1. Electronic storage with quick
data processing.
2. Access to critical “real
time” decision support information.
3. Delivery of high value and high
quality information matched against pre-defined
decision support variables or templates.
4. Computer systems, which can
run in a connected (Network) and stand-alone environment.
5. Facilitate information sharing
and communication between internal and external
units of organization.
6. Open systems, flexible, scalable,
and secure application and technology solutions.
7. Comprehensive and flexible report
generation.
Information
Technology Policy of Pakistan
The national IT policy of Pakistan have been approved
by the Federal Cabinet in August 2000 that define
the role of Government of Pakistan as an enabler
and developer for IT based future economy.
